Dulux has donated £250 worth of product to a children’s hospice to celebrate the opening of its new store.

The company’s iconic dog joined Mayor of Redbridge, Cllr Debbie Kaur-Thiara, at the unveiling of the decorator centre in Woodford Green on Thursday, September 27.

Haven House Children’s Hospice in Woodford Green welcomed the announcement.

Lindy Hunt, the charity’s head of community engagement said: “We are delighted to receive the support of Dulux decorator centre in Woodford.

“We wish them every success with their new store and are very grateful for the donation of paint for our holistic care centre.”

Store manager Jon Liles-Thomson welcomed members of the community to the opening of the shop in Southend Road, Woodford Green, where he handed out bacon butties and invited them to take a selfie with the famous dog.

Mr Liles-Thomson said: “Extending our stores into Woodford Green is an exciting move and the team and I can’t wait to support the community.

“We hope that there will be much opportunity come from the Woodford Green store and hope our experienced staff can lend a hand where possible.”
