A senior director has announced their decision to leave Redbridge Council.

Caroline Bruce joined the authority as its corporate director of place in November.

Ms Bruce originally committed to working with the council for two years in 2016 and is known to have been earning more than £140,000 per year.

Ms Bruce currently oversees a number of frontline services including housing and civic pride.

Ms Bruce said: “When I joined Redbridge I made a commitment to work for two years to lay the foundation for a successful directorate.

“Having overseen the development and launch of new housing, regeneration and civic pride strategies, I’m keen to diversify my experience so as I can realise my career ambitions.

“It is therefore the right time to move on.”

Cllr Jas Athwal, council leader, said: “Caroline has built a solid foundation to build on and will leave the directorate with a strong team in place. On behalf of the council I would like to thank Caroline for her commitment and efforts, and wish her well for the future.”
