Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a range of garages on Westward Road in Chingford.
A garage and a transit van that was inside the garage were destroyed by fire.
The Brigade was called at 1907 and the fire was under control at 2046. Fire crews from Chingford, Walthamstow, and Edmonton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
