The wall of a Tesco is being held up by a digger following an ATM smash-and-grab.
In the early hours of the this morning a red Maintou digger was crashed into the Tesco Express in Coppice Row, Theydon Bois.
The digger, which was stolen yesterday, was left embedded in the shop.
Witnesses spotted five balaclava clad men driving away from the supermarket in a black Range Rover alongside a navy blue Ford Fiesta.
The black car, reported as stolen, was found dumped on Tysea Hill in Stapleford Abbotts.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to ring police on 101, quoting incident 112 of October 26. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
