A man has died after being rescued from a burning house.
The fire broke out at a two-storey terraced house in Herbert Road, Ilford, at around 4.50pm on Thursday, November 1.
The man was evacuated by two members of the public before emergency crews arrived.
He was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital, where he sadly passed away.
Part of the ground floor of the property was destroyed by fire.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended and the incident was under control at around 6.20pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Met Police and the London Fire Brigade.
