A gang of men burst into a house and attacked the owner with a crowbar.
At around 5.30pm yesterday (November 7) a group of three men broke into a house in The Lindens, Loughton.
They attacked the man inside with a crowbar, inflicting injuries which are not believed to be serious.
They then carried out a messy search and took a four-figure sum of cash, a Samsung A8 mobile phone and a Panasonic home phone headset.
The three men have been described by the victim as being white and aged in their mid-20s.
They all had their faces covered and wore grey hoodies.
One of the men had an Irish accent.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage to view, or lives in the area and has available CCTV, is asked to call Loughton CID on 101 quoting the crime reference number 42/162777/18.
