Four people have been rushed to hospital after a crash involving a car that failed to stop for police.
The crash happened this afternoon in Lake House Road which runs through Wanstead Flats.
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
A spokesman for the Met said: At approximately 3.40pm on Sunday, November 11 officers indicated for a car to stop in Lake House Road, E11.
"The car did not stop and was involved in a collision with another car near the junction with Belgrave Road.
"Three male occupants from the car that failed to stop have been taken to hospital for treatment to injuries - none of these are life-threatening. All three have been arrested for taking and driving away.
"A fourth male who was in the other car involved has also been taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is not life-threatening.
"Road closures remain in place around the scene.
"Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
Members of the London Fire Brigade attended the crash which saw Lake House Road closed off to vehicles.
