Two top south Bucks schools’ choirs joined forces for a vocal tour in Italy.

The Beacon Voices choir from boys’ independent prep school The Beacon, in Amersham, and The Godstowe Choir, from Godstowe, a girls’ independent prep school in High Wycombe, along with a team of 10 staff and parents, headed to Trento to enjoy a week of singing, sightseeing and celebrating.

As well as touring the sights of the region, the two choirs performed a diverse repertoire which included sacred, spiritual, folk, musical theatre and pop songs, and they performed three pieces together as a large choir of 76 voices.

The Beacon’s head of performing arts, Liz Van Tromp, said: “The trip was a huge success, with both choirs singing beautifully at their three concerts. I was certainly very proud of them all.”
