A veteran photographer's wife discovered his leg in a photo of Harry Redknapp's wedding.

On Sunday the former football manager won I'm A Celebrity....Get Me Out Of Here!

What seemed to attract audiences to Redknapp was his kind spirit and clear love for his family, particularly for his wife Sandra.

The heartwarming victory prompted one fan of the show to post a photo of the couple's wedding to Facebook, which was spotted by Jane Simpson from Waltham Abbey.

Rather than focusing on the FA Cup winning manager and his bride however, she zoomed in on the partially visible leg of her husband Clive - a limb she immediately recognised more than 51 years after the photo was taken.

The veteran press photographer had covered the big day for Harry and Sandra and was photographed from behind while he set up a shot with the happy couple and Frank Lampard Snr.

Mr Simpson said: "My wife appeared with her iPad this morning and said 'your left leg is on Facebook.'

"Sure enough it was my left leg along with Harry and Sandra posing in the grounds of Barking Abbey after their wedding.

"That set me searching through the millions of negatives and prints that John Price have in our archives at the Gytha Centre on Galley Hill in Waltham Abbey."

The search led Mr Simpson to a shot of Harry and Sandra signing a cast on Lampard's leg which had been broken in a West Ham match.

The image is one of thousands taken in Epping Forest, East London and the wider Essex area that are currently stored in the Gytha Centre, a community project started by Mr Simpson and Mr Price.

Also in the archives is a shot of original I'm a Celebrity champion Tony Blackburn, snapped in Noel Edmund's helicopter.

A number of courses including art therapy for special needs people and a photo journalism course are run at the centre.
