A teenager won a Christmas card competition.

Student Isabelle Frost, who attends Roding Valley High School in Loughton, was crowned the winner of Loughton Town Council’s annual Christmas Card competition and the winner of the secondary school category winner.

There were more than 300 entries this year for the prize from infant school, junior school, secondary school and adults.

The judges for the competition were town mayor Cllr Stephen Murray and deputy town mayor councillor Stella Murphy, and the judging was held at Loughton Library.

Each winner was presented with a £25 gift token and a certificate, with the overall winner Miss Frost also receiving a hamper of craft items, donated by Hobbycraft, sponsors of the competition.

The winners and runners-up in the other categories included students attending Roding Valley High School, Hereward Primary and Oaklands School, as well as a resident from Woodland Grove Care Home.

The winner of the infant school category was Taryn Da Silva and the runner-up was Leandro Tapper.

The winner of the junior school category was Sienna Martin and the runner-up was Lilly Spong.

The winner of the secondary school category was Isabelle Frost and the runner-up was Alistair Lanz.

And the winner of the adult category was Barbara Masser and the runner-up was Janette Schofield.

An exhibition of the entries will be on display at Debden library, inside Epping Forest College until January 2.
