The borough's MP will share a stage with part of Hot Chip's creative force.

On Saturday Ravenswood Industrial Estate will be transformed into a free festival.

Stretched across four venues, the third outing of the Ravenswood for Eat and Heat hopes to be the biggest yet.

Headlining the day long festival is Joe Goddard, who has carved a funky career for himself away from bandmates Hot Chip.

He will be joined by founder of The Orb Alex Paterson, Metronomy Drummer Anna Prior, German electro wizard Ulrich Schnauss, Nick cave and The Bad Seeds drummer Jim Sclavunos and Jungle from the Ragga Twins.

Also spinning the wheels of steel will be Stella Creasy, a woman more typically associated with spinning a yarn in her role as MP for Walthamstow.

All proceeds from the day will go towards Eat or Heat, with the festival's organisers hoping to best last year's £7,000 donation.

Stephen Vitkovitch, one of the three organisers of the festival, said: "It has grown each year and we have raised more and more money.

"We hope to keep doing so.

"There are four venues and there will be music in all of them from 2pm until 12pm."

The festival is part of the Waltham Forest Borough of Culture.
