A teenager charged with the murder of 14-year-old Jaden Moodie has appeared in court.
Ayoub Majdouline, 18, appeared briefly in the dock at Thames Magistrates' Court but spoke only to confirm his identity.
He did not indicate pleas to a charge of murder and of possession of a knife on Bickley Road, Leyton on January 8.
Jaden was found fatally stabbed after he was knocked off a moped on the street just after 6.30pm.
Majdouline was charged with his murder on Saturday.
The baby-faced suspect, dressed in a grey prison-issue tracksuit looked nervously at reporters and court sketch artists sitting in the well of court.
No submissions were made by either the defence or prosecution. His case was immediately sent up to the Crown Court.
Majdouline, of Wembley, will next appear at Old Bailey on January 23.
