Woodford and Wanstead Photographic Society have announced their monthly winner.

Chris Saunders from Wanstead won the monthly competition out of 70 submissions for his colourful image of row boats on Derwent Water titled 'Keswick last Monday.

It was taken last June when a group of four from the Woodford and Wanstead Photographic Society visited the Lake District for a week.

Mr Saunders, 69, said: "The photo was taken on our first evening when we strolled down to the water's edge.

"I thought the sky looked good so I got my phone out and took a picture, we'd left all of our camera gear back at the house."

Mr Saunders, a retired computer programmer, has been taking photographs for around 5 years.

The competition was judged by East Anglia Federation judge Pauline Martindale.

The group meets every Monday evening at Wanstead House in Wanstead.
