A teenager accused of murdering a 14-year-old boy faces a provisional trial in July.
Jaden Moodie from Waltham Forest was found with stab wounds in Bickley Road in Leyton on January 8.
He later died from his injuries.
Ayoub Majdouline, 18, from the Wembley area, has been charged with murder.
He appeared at the Old Bailey today before Judge Nicolas Hilliard QC.
Five members of Jaden's family sat in the well of the court for the short hearing to set a timetable for the case.
The defendant was represented by James Scobie QC and spoke to confirm his identity and British nationality.
The defence barrister Mr Scobie told the Old Bailey that identification of his client Majdouline would be an issue in the case.
Judge Hilliard QC said the media in court would be mindful and set a provisional trial date for July 8 with a please and case management hearing on April 16.
The teenager, who worse a dark green tracksuit, was remanded into custody.
