Chris Sumner (Opinion, January 24) repeats the claims of Project Fear MkII when he refers to forecasts of doom for Britain if we dare to run our own affairs. The share of our economy concerned with EU trade is lower than the figures he gives while the opportunities of freedom from the EU can allow us to prosper from greater trade with the world that is not in the EU and growing faster.
Even the EU-friendly International Monetary Fund has forecast that recent faster growth in Britain compared with with EU will continue.
We were subject to Project Fear MkI from George Osborne in the referendum campaign and none of it came to pass as he claimed to be unavoidable.
It really is time to deliver the result of the vote of the people in 2016 and leave.
