Some of the best up and coming stars will be performing in a talent competition at the end of March.

This year's Redbridge's Got Talent will be taking place on March 22 in Woodford with all ticket proceeds being donated to the Mayor of Redbridge Councillor Debbie Kaur-Thiara's chosen charity Every Life Has Purpose.

The competition is in its third year and will include a range of acts from dancing and singing to poetry and action.

Councillor Debbie Kaur Thiara said: "We have many upcoming shining stars within the local borough, and events such as these provide a fantastic platform to local performers and groups to showcase their talent whilst helping to raise funds for a good cause."

Judges include The Greatest Dancer finalist James from 'James and Oliver', with others to be announced soon.

Last year, 12-year-old Jo Lee won the competition, playing two piano pieces.

Event host, Owen Smith, from Redbridge Drama Centre and Italia Conti, said: "I was really pleased to be involved in Redbridge’s Got Talent last year as I believe that cultural events like these help bring communities together and help us to celebrate the cultural diversity within the local borough."

The event will be held at Sir James Hawkey Hall in Broomhill Road, Woodford on March 22.
