The death of a man in the forest is not being treated as suspicious.

At 6.50pm on Thursday, March 8 police were called to Epping Forest by someone who had spotted a man's body.

At around 6.30pm on the same evening a dog walker was seen near to the back of The Kings Oak pub.

It is unclear whether the person was male or female but they were walking a large black or dark coloured dog.

The person could have information to help the police's investigation.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Further investigation is required to determine cause of death but it is not being treated as suspicious."
