A group of school children and their parents went on strike to raise awareness of climate change.
Families from Stoneydown Park School in Walthamstow took part in Climate Strike, joining thousands of protestors across the world.
Starting at 3.30pm the children walked out of their classes, calling on the government to fight climate change and urging them to keep warming below 1.5 degrees celcius globally.
Jesse Ash, a parent of Stoneydown Park pupils aged four and eight-year-old, said: "Heat waves, floods, and hurricanes are killing hundreds and devastating communities across the world.
"Climate change is already a deadly reality.
"Despite the latest stark warning from climate scientists that we have only 12 years to reverse course, politicians are ignoring their call. What use is it learning facts if adults ignore them?"
Mr Ash said he was impressed with how much the children knew about the issue.
By 4pm around 60 people made it to the protest, with more expected to arrive later on.
