A radio station is raising awareness and funds for testicular cancer through a 24-hour show.

To mark Testicular Cancer awareness month Centreforce Radio is hosting a day long special and fun day from 12pm on April 13.

The station, based in Waltham Abbey's Pixel Centre, will feature guests including DJs Pasha, Master Pasha, Max Fernandez and Peter P on its ‘Balls to Cancer’ event.

DJs will be auctioning off items including a signed boxing glove by Anthony Joshua, a shirt signed by West Ham and spa day vouchers.

A family fun day will also take place from 12pm to 6pm on the day and will be packed with activities from face painting, inflatables, strongman challenges, dog training with Britannia K9 Security and giant inflatables.

People are welcome to bring their dogs along for dog training classes which will take place throughout the day.

Centreforce Radio is also appealing to local businesses in Waltham Abbey and surrounding areas to get involved to donate items for auction or to provide food and drink for the DJs on the night. Any donations are welcome.

Founder of Centreforce Radio, Andy Swallow, said: “We are holding Balls to Cancer to raise awareness and funds for testicular cancer. Every year, 2,400 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer and 98% of cases are treatable.

"Charity and our listeners are at the heart of everything we do, and we are encouraging listeners, social media followers and residents to come along and get involved in our fun day as there will be lots going on."
