Teams young and old are being invited to participate in an inflatable assault course to battle it out for the annual It’s a Knockout charity day.

Based on the popular British TV programme, fundraisers must weave their way through oversized obstacles in order to be crowned the winning team for 2019.

Participants should look forward to giant inflatables, hysterical games, water and gallons of foam, where all money donated will go towards Teen Unite.

A Teens Unite Junior Warrior Race will also be open to youngsters aged four-13 to tackle, with several other attractions, stalls and a BBQ available for spectators.

Debbie Pezzani, CEO and co-founder of Teens Unite, said: “We’re really excited to bring our Family Fun Day this summer for a day to remember.

“Since opening our office in Loughton, we’ve been welcomed into the local community and we look forward to further raising our profile in Essex as the charity continues to grow so that we can support more young people.”

Teens Unite, established in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, opened a second office in Loughton in September 2018, founded 12 years ago by Karen Millen OBE and Ms Pezzani.

The charity aims to bring teenagers who have been diagnosed with cancer together through workshops, activities, residential stays and meet others in a similar situation.

Seven teenagers are diagnosed with the disease everyday in the UK and around 95% experience a negative impact on their physical ability when receiving their cancer treatment.

The events will take place on Sunday, June 2, at Loughton Cricket Club, High Road, The Uplands from 9am.
