Essex Police has announced a public meeting to discuss community safety within the district.

Roger Hirst, the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, will lead the meeting alongside PFCC Deputy, Jane Gardner on Monday, July 22.

Details of current crime trends and ongoing operations will be discussed at the meeting, where residents are encouraged to ask questions and raise any concerns.

Essex Police’s local district commander plus representatives from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and the local Community Safety Partnership will also attend.

Speaking about the upcoming meeting, Mr Hirst, said: “Public meetings are a great way to hear directly from local communities about concerns they might have and areas of activity that are in place and working well.

“Very often, a joint approach is the answer to a problem. We hold regular public meetings across the county and with a panel of experts on hand; these meetings are a great way to find the solutions together.

“Do come along whether you have criticisms, compliments or constructive comments to make. We want to hear them all because your voices matter.”

If you live or work in the Epping Forest area and have an interest in community safety matters come along to a public meeting being held by Roger Hirst, the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex.

The public meeting will take place between 6.30pm and 8pm at the Victory Hall, Hainault Road, Chigwell, IG7 6QU.
