A tribute to jazz icon and queen of cool Peggy Lee, exploring her rise from humble beginnings to her big break as a singer with Benny Goodman through to her solo career as a singer/songwriter and actress. Macbeth

The Alternative Shakespeare Company bring their verve and panache to one of the darkest stories of them all: Macbeth. Weird sisters hand in hand, regicide and bloody deeds splashed with madness and prophecy; one man's ambition is destined to become his terrible downfall. Dark and unsettling, this is the second of the Alternative Shakespeare Company's adaptations.

Streatlife

Streatlife is Alexandra Palace’s legendary free street food and craft beer festival. Professor Nitrate’s Test Zone

Professor Nitrate is back for a summer full of explosive fun. Open every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between July 28 and August 28, the Professor’s Test Zone is for all the family to enjoy. The Mad Lab - home to the ever eccentric Professor Nitrate and their assistants – has a variety of great hands-on experiments and activities for all to try out. Plus not-to-be-missed science shows throughout the day which will have the whole family getting experimental. The creative zone is where you can stimulate your artistic side by painting your own canvas and designing your own t-shirt, and you can also have lots of fun drawing, gluing and getting messy.

Hackney Brewery Summer Session

East London’s Hackney Brewery is celebrating its 8th birthday by teaming up with the Geffrye Museum. The event will take place in the museum’s beautiful gardens and ticket holders will enjoy craft beer from 10 breweries, delicious street food, talks centred on community, food and drink, and lifestyle stalls. The Summer Session will have a strong environmental focus, showcasing naturally sourced, organic produce with a range of vegan options across the food and drink available.

Bodybuilding Central Qualifier

For the first time ever the British National Bodybuilding Federation Central Championships will be hosted at the Queens Theatre Hornchurch – a qualifier for the British finals in September.
