A designer watch was stolen from a man in his seventies by two masked robbers who approached him as he went onto his driveway in Beaconsfield.

The man was driving onto his driveway on Burke Road on Wednesday, August 21, when he was approached by two men he did not know.

They demanded he hand over his watch and threatened him before grabbing the timepiece and fleeing in the direction of the A40.

It happened at around 6.50pm.

Both men were around 6ft tall and of medium build. They were both wearing gloves and their faces were covered.

One had a dark coloured tracksuit on while the other had a white tracksuit on.

The man who was robbed suffered a cut to his wrist but did not need to go to hospital.

Police are urging anyone who may have mobile phone or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the robbery to come forward.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Kerry Hall based at Amersham police station, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim who was robbed of a personal item.

“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area who may have mobile phone or dashcam footage at the time of the incident to call the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 43190258901 or report online."
