Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision yesterday.
Police were called on Saturday, August 31 at around 1pm to Kingsland Road in Dalston, E8, to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation unit attended along with London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade and the London Air Ambulance.
Sadly the pedestrian, a man aged 69, was pronounced dead at the scene, his next of kin have been informed and officers are awaiting an formal identification.
The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Road closures were put in place but they have since reopened.
No arrests have been made.
