A sixth form celebrated the grand opening of their brand-new facilities by holding a pizza party and activities for new and returning students.

Year 12 and 13 pupils at Epping St John’s Sixth Form on Bury Lane, Epping, enjoyed looking around their new study and social area on Tuesday, September 10.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in honour of the new academic year with upgraded room showcasing new study areas and kitchen.

Due a large intake of students since rebooting the sixth form in 2016, the school decided to revamp their facilities.

The occasion was marked by holding a teambuilding day an assembly to outline expectations for Year 12, as well as an introduction for Year 13 to UCA.

The sixth form had its best ever exam results, with 100 per cent of students achieving at least a Pass in either an A-level of BTEC course.
