Two 15-year-old boys have been charged after a 10-mile police chase that ended with armed officers smashing their way into a car.
The chase began in Enfield, north London, on Saturday, when police investigating an alleged knifepoint robbery tried to stop a car that instead sped off.
Video of the dramatic end of the pursuit in Loughton, Essex, was shared online, showing a black Audi convertible driving over a police spike strip and hitting a number of other cars.
An armed officer smashed the driver's window of the car before four people were arrested.
On Monday, the Metropolitan Police said a 15-year-old boy from Wood Green in north London had been charged with possession of cannabis, failing to stop a vehicle when asked to by a police officer, and aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.
He has also been charged with driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence; driving without insurance and driving without due care and attention.
A second boy, also 15 and from Wood Green, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving; and allowing himself to be carried in a stolen car.
They will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Thursday October 31.
Two 14-year-old girls who were arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife and allowing themselves to be carried in a stolen car have been released under investigation.
