Redbridge has been crowned the UK’s top spot for car clamping incidents.
A total of 1,131 vehicles parked within the IG postcode area were identified according to vehicle finance provider Moneybarn, who analysed DVLA data.
Anyone who is caught avoiding or not paying their vehicle tax in time will have their motor on lock down.
South-east London postcodes came in second place while neighbouring borough Havering was ranked fourth with 831.
Scotland has the lowest number of tax evaders, with four of its cities featuring in the bottom 10 areas for the number of vehicles clamped.
Aberdeen was ranked the lowest for clamping incidents, only six vehicles were found illegally without road tax.
