A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed yesterday evening.

British Transport Police say they were called to reports of a stabbing at Woodford underground station around 5.29pm on Monday, October 7.

A man had suffered injuries to his back and was taken to hospital for treatment.

His condition was described as not life-threatening and he remains in hospital.

No arrest have been made.

Transport for London Central line tweeted yesterday that no trains had been stopping at the station while the police were carrying out an investigation, but it has since re-opened.
