A man was detained by members of the public after a pedestrian was injured in a collision with a motorcycle.
Police were called at 11.13am on Tuesday, November 12, to reports of a road traffic collision at Markhouse Road, by Lea Bridge Road, Walthamstow.
The pedestrian, a woman aged 60s, sustained a non-life-threatening head injury. She was taken to an east London hospital.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “Police and the London Ambulance Service attended.
“At the scene a motorcycle had been in collision with a pedestrian.
“The rider of the motorcycle was detained at the scene by members of the public.
“He was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
“Anyone who witnessed this incident should call 101 quoting Cad 2390/12NOV, Tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
