Do you remember when streets in Walthamstow flooded during the 1960s.
This photo shows Diana Road, Walthamstow inundated, though no date is given. (Image courtesy of Vestry House Museum picture archive.)
No lasting damage seems to have been caused. Here is the junction of Diana Road and Winns Avenue in September 2019.
Here is a lost scene. This undated image of Chingford Road, Walthamstow, shows a terrace of attractive houses, with what looks like a small shop.
In the street what looks like one tramline is visible, and it is possible the overhead lines may have powered trams. (Image courtesy of Vestry House Museum picture archive.)
The same street in September 2019 is sadly not so attractive, even with a small green space.
