Almost 60 years separate these two photos of a shop and market site, and little has changed.

The stall on the right appears to sell books or paper. The one on the left may be serving food, while the advert on the bin in the foreground is for a cycle shop.

On the right is the post office, while trolley bus lines run overhead.

The phone boxes have vanished, and a cycle lane has replace the trolley bus line.
But if you look closely, the lamp posts may be the same ones in the earlier picture.
