An all-women’s gym for middle-aged fitness-goers has officially opened their second facility.

AbFabFit Club, run by Jaine Alderson and her husband Mark, launched their second female-only gym at The Field Station at Gunpowder Park in Waltham Abbey.

Originally built as a field education centre and previously used as a photographic studio in 2009, the duo hopes to continue attracting new members.

Speaking about the upcoming launch, Mrs Alderson said: “The space at Gunpowder Field Station is perfect for group training. It’s bright, airy and you can in beautiful parkland within moments of stepping out the door.

“Nature is incredibly calming and can help reduce stress and anxiety and boost mood. The Field Station has all the ingredients necessary to help and support members.

“We are immensely excited to be expanding within such a short time and welcome local ladies to come and see for themselves”.
