A police investigation is underway into a break-in at Redbridge town hall – although detectives are still unsure if anything was stolen.

Redbridge Town Hall, in High Road, Ilford, where the council holds its meetings, was broken into over the weekend.

Staff reported the break-in to police first thing Monday morning.

Yesterday evening’s council overview committee was held in Ilford Library, instead of the town hall. The building has since reopened and services have returned to normal.
