Four primary school pupils put their impressive maths skills to the test at a national competition earlier this month.
The team from Nascot Wood Junior School in Watford were crowned champions at the Explore Learning National Young Mathematician’s Award, held at the Natural History Museum in London.
To even reach this stage, the pupils had seen off competition from 1,500 primary schools across the country.
In the primary school competition, Millie, Moez, Robert and Neha from Nascot Wood in Watford were crowned champions.
The teams competed to solve a never-before-seen mathematical problem under the watchful eye of maths guru Bobby Seagull.
Nascot Wood were praised for their positive mindset and ability to work collaboratively at the event which was hosted by mathematician and writer Bobby Seagull on February 5.
Head teacher Christina Singh said: "I am so proud of the children and how they rose to the considerable challenge of a national competition.
"The result reflects the work that we have carried out in school with all the children, to develop their resilience and ability to embrace challenge."
