A man has admitted killing his 13-year-old daughter by injuring her when she was a baby, but has denied murder.
Dean Smith, 45, of Bushey, stood in the dock at the Old Bailey today to enter a guilty plea to one count of manslaughter.
He previously pleaded not guilty to murder and will go on trial in April.
The court previously heard Maisie Newell suffered a fractured skull and brain injuries after being thrown into her cot at the age of four weeks.
She died on June 25 2014, allegedly as a result of the earlier injuries in 2000 which left her disabled.
Smith wore a white shirt and dark tie during the short hearing.
He was released on bail ahead of his murder trial at the same court, which will begin on April 27.
The trial is listed to last up to seven days.
