A van and car collided on the A41 in Watford this afternoon.
Firefighters and three ambulance crews were called to the major road, at the junction of East Drive, near the Dome Roundabout at 2.30pm.
Police also attended and a spokeswoman said there were reports a woman was trapped.
The East of England Ambulance service confirmed it sent two ambulances and a response car, and that it treated two patients at the scene.
However, they did not need further treatment.
A partial road closure was in place with police controlling traffic.
The A41 was clear by 3.45pm.
