A man was taken to hospital after he fell from the roof of Watford police station today.
The emergency services were alerted to a fall in Shady Lane, near Watford Junction, at 12.22pm.
It turns out the man had been working on the roof of the town's police station and officers immediately attended and provided the man, aged in his 20s, with some medical assistance.
Police say he had fallen two metres onto another part of the roof and landed on his back.
A fire crew from Watford were called to the scene along with an aerial ladder platform so they were able to reach the injured man more easily.
The East of England Ambulance service also attended.
He was taken to hospital after sustaining pain to his lower back. His injuries are believed to be minor.
