A man appeared in court today charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Walthamstow last week.
Thomas Macionis, a Lithuanian national, who was living in Walthamstow, was fatally stabbed on Tuesday, March 31.
Police were called to Alexandra Road just before 11pm, where officers and paramedics found Mr Marcionis suffering from serious injuries; the 35-year-old he died at the scene.
Rizwan Abassi, of Alexandra Road, Walthamstow, was charged with the murder of Tomas Marcionis today (April 2).
The 31-year-old appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court the same day he was charged.
He was remanded to later appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, April 6
Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command continue to investigate the incident.
