Detectives investigating the death of a man who died in hospital 16 days after he was found unconscious have made a third arrest.

Chingford resident Mark Barber was found unconscious in Peacock Close shortly before midnight on Sunday, April 19.

The 62-year-old was taken to an east London Hospital where he died on Tuesday, May 5.

A post-mortem examination at Queens Road Mortuary gave the provisional cause of death as a head injury.

Homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime Command have made a third arrest.

An 18-year-old man from Hainault was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, May 13. He was bailed to return on a date in June.

Another man aged 41, has previously been charged in connection with the investigation.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on murder on May 6 and taken into custody. He was bailed to return on a date in June.
