There have been no new coronavirus deaths at Whipps Cross for at least six days.

Barts Health NHS Trust, which manages Whipps Cross and four other hospitals, has reported no new deaths since June 1.

Neighbouring Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT), which manages King George Hospital in Ilford and Queen's Hospital in Romford, has declared no new deaths since June 5.

Barts Health NHS Trust remains the London trust with the most number of recorded deaths, with 606 recorded since the start of the pandemic.

The trust with the second highest number of deaths, London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, has 605.

BHRUT has recorded 417 deaths from the virus since the pandemic started three months ago.

At the peak of the pandemic, BHRUT saw 100 deaths and Barts saw 149 in just one week.

Across the nation, there were only 77 new deaths from the disease recorded yesterday (June 7).

Around 1,300 new people tested positive nationwide for the virus.
