A lane closure will be in place on a busy road as a new gas pipe is installed.

Work to install a 51 metre gas pipe in St Albans Road, Watford, near Bedford Street is set to get underway later this week on June 26.

While the new gas pipe is installed - which is expected to last three days - there will be a 24/7 lane closure in place in the road.

Motorists heading towards the St Albans Road shops could be affected by small traffic as a result, with the work being carried out near the Range.

The work, which is being carried out by Fulcrum Pipelines Limited, is expected to start at 8pm on June 26 and end at 6am on June 29.
