A ONE-YEAR-OLD baby boy has died.
An air ambulance was called this afternoon to take the child to hospital from a home in Central Avenue, Worthing.
The baby died in hospital and the circumstances surrounding his death are being investigated.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “We were called to a property in Central Avenue, Worthing, at 12.57pm on Wednesday following concerns for the welfare of a one-year-old boy.
“The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance staff where he sadly died.
“Full circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated and the matter has been passed to the Coroner’s Officer.
“Next of kin have been informed and support is being provided to the family.“
