A CAR finance company which says business increased during lockdown has moved into a new office despite Covid-19.

Creditplus has finished refitting a three-storey, 12,000sqft building at Willis Way in Poole.

The coronavirus crisis delayed the project by several months, but the company says business has increased during the pandemic.

It specialises in quality-checked used cars which are delivered to the customer’s door.

It says this has proved popular with key workers and those needing cars for essential travel. The company operates contactless delivery and ensures vehicles are sterilised during preparation.

Creditplus’s new head office will house most of its staff, who number more than 100, with more based at a satellite office in Fareham and a vehicle preparation facility in Holes Bay.

Creditplus acquired the building last year and has overhauled it inside, providing a training facility, casual dining room and breakout areas.

It says the proximity to a gym will help with wellbeing, with staff able to take advantage of corporate membership and flexible working.

Warren Rutten, recruitment consultant at Creidtplus , said: “This move is a great opportunity to elevate the culture and environment we want for our team and business.

“Colleagues will have the ability to enjoy an important work/life balance but also the fantastic opportunity to lead a healthier, happier life with the help of our new neighbours at Fitness First.”

Creditplus says it will be able to house more staff and make sure employees have a safe and socially distanced working environment.

The majority of staff are already in the building, with space to accommodate new recruits joining next week.

Some staff are still working at home, with flexible arrangements for those who need time for childcare or other personal matters.

Co-founder Shaun Armstrong said: “Being an online provider of cars and finance, we’ve been proud to continue serving customers over the last several months and with the addition of contactless deliveries have actually seen an increase in business. I’m excited for Creditplus to expand in our hometown of Poole and to welcome many more talented colleagues who will help us grow.”
