A DRUG dealer is back behind bars for supplying heroin and crack cocaine.

Ian Edwards was out of prison on licence in Worthing when he was caught dealing again by police.

Previously he was jailed for 13 years for conspiracy to supply drugs, and was released in December 2019, half way through his sentence.

But the 36-year-old, of no fixed address, was collared again by police. At Lewes Crown Court he admitted supplying the class A drugs in the town, and was jailed for a further six years which will be added to his existing 13-year term.

Detective Sergeant Peter Yarrow said:”Edwards’ was actively involved in supplying heroin and crack to some users in the town centre but our operation completely disrupted his activities. We are continuing our relentless work to disrupt criminals like Edwards who bring degradation and misery to vulnerable people.”

“His latest arrest was part of a long term operation in the Worthing area and involved collaborative working with colleagues from Brighton Prevention Enforcement Team.”
