Readers have shared what they will miss about lockdown following the ease of Government restrictions.

Since lockdown started in March people across the country were upset about what they will miss out on this year such as holidays and time with friends.

Despite this there have been many unexpected positives as a result of restrictions and people staying at home.

The Government has now started to ease some restrictions such as the opening of shops and pubs. Indoor pools, gyms and leisure centres have also received the greenlight to reopen from this Saturday (July 25).

As a result of rules being relaxed, we asked our readers on Facebook about what they will miss most after lockdown.

Here is what they said:

Rosemary Brooke Harrison said she will miss the way the "wildlife took over" the country.

She added: "We should have an anniversary lockdown day when we are all quiet again and nature is left alone."

Joanne Rodwell said she will miss the community spirit.

She said: "No traffic, no hassle - it was a slower pace of life.

"Time to actually breathe."

Readers such as Anne Foster and Neil Flanagan also mentioned they will miss the quiet streets and seeing fewer cars on the roads.

Angela Gale said during lockdown she has loved her regular bi-weekly country walks.

She added: "I appreciated the clear skies and cleaner air, and I revelled in the unexpected sunshine.

"I am grateful to have so many dear friends who kept in regular contact during my self-isolation."

Despite this she said during lockdown she missed being a "social butterfly".

Angela Mihaly said she will miss the time with her family and spending quality time together.
