A FIVE-year-old boy is in hospital after he fell from a window.

An air ambulance landed in Langley Green, Crawley, yesterday.

Several police cars and ambulances responded to the incident in Walnut Lane at around 8pm.

It is understood that the boy, who was in a critcal condition, was flown to a London hospital.

The police said the boy is now in a stable condition and that his family are being supported by specially trained officers.

In photos shared on social media an air ambulance can be seen on a large field with crowds gathered around.

In a statement from Sussex Police, a spokesperson said: "Police responded to a report of a child falling from a first floor window in Walnut Lane, Crawley at 8pm on Saturday, August 1.

"A five-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition but is now stable.

"The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, however it is not currently being treated as suspicious."
