The M11 has been closed in one direction due to a serious collision.
Essex police, paramedics, firefighters, and highways officers are at the scene of a crash which has happened on the northbound carriageway.
The M11 has been closed northbound between junction 4 for Woodford and junction 6 for the M25.
It appears the crash has taken place between junction 5 and junction 6.
Traffic is being diverted off at junction 4 and drivers are asked to follow the solid diamond diversion symbol.
The diversion is via the A406 North Circular westbound to the Waterworks interchange.
Then join the A104 to the Wake Arms roundabout, and then the A121 towards the M25.
Join the M25 at junction 26 and leave at junction 27 to rejoin the M11 at junction 6.
There is two-half-miles of queueing traffic between junction 4 and junction 5 on the M11.
