A 16-YEAR-OLD has been arrested after an alleged robbery in a Kidlington alleyway.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses after the incident which took place yesterday at 5.35pm.

A man in his twenties was walking through an alleyway between Green Road and Oxford Road when he was approached by a 'large group of unknown males.'

The victim was pushed to the ground, punched and kicked and his bank card and coat was taken from him.

He also received facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.  

Officers have since arrested a 16-year-old boy from Kidlington on suspicion of robbery, and he remains in police custody.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Lorna Briggs, of Witney police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, during which the victim was assaulted by a group of unknown offenders in an unprovoked attack.

“Officers have made in arrest in connection with this incident, however I would still like to appeal to anyone that has any information to come forward and speak to police.
