Bromley is set for a virtual launch to the festive season as its Christmas lights switch-on goes online amid the second national coronavirus lockdown.

Organised by Your Bromley, the switch-on with a difference will be held on Sunday, November 29.

Tune in to the Your Bromley Facebook page at 4.30pm for an hour of festive fun featuring musical entertainment, hosted by Bromley Christmas lights favourite, Adam Hoffman.

The celebrations will see former The Voice Kids finalist and local girl, Gina Li Donni, who sang for crowds in 2017 return to the event. Gina will be followed by a special performance from the stars of the film The Commitments who will sing some of their best-known hits and a special Christmas song.

Finally, to turn the lights on, we will welcome star of The Apprentice, Ryan-Mark Parsons who is raising money for Go Beyond, the charity giving children and young people facing serious challenges in their lives the chance for a break, giving them the moments and experiences they need to believe in themselves and think beyond the day-today for a bigger, brighter future.

Ryan-Mark said, “I’m really looking forward to helping Bromley get festive and raising money for this brilliant cause.”

Frances Forrest, BID manager, commented, “It’s going to be a very different Christmas this year, but we love bringing Christmas festivities to the people of Bromley and we hope we can still spread some festive cheer, albeit online.”
