Firefighters subdued a Walthamstow house fire begun by a light bulb in under an hour.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters scramble to the blaze at a house on Elmsdale Road at 11.30am on Friday, November 27.
A storage cupboard in a loft conversion at a two-storey terraced house was destroyed by the fire.
Firefighters rescued one woman from the building; there were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 11,30am and the fire was reported under control by 12.26pm.
Fire crews from Walthamstow, Leyton, Tottenham and Woodford fire stations were at the scene.
The Brigade’s fire investigators believe the fire to be caused by a light bulb pushing against combustible materials in a storage cupboard.
